List a game on Vibe Arcade

Submit a public GitHub repository you can push to. A live browser build is optional; adding one makes an approved listing eligible for Play now and the charts.

Vibe does not host or copy your code or build. Your code stays on GitHub, and players open the live URL you provide in a new tab.

Prerequisites

  • A public GitHub repository.
  • A GitHub account with push access to that repository.
  • A clear title, player-facing description, primary genre, touch claim, and model provenance.
  • For a playable listing: a public build URL, concise controls and goal, and a commit-pinned gameplay image from the same repository.

Choose the listing type

Source-only

Leave the live URL blank. Controls and gameplay image are optional. After approval, the project gets a public page and appears in All games, but not Play now or charts.

Playable

Add a live HTTP(S) URL, controls, and a commit-pinned gameplay image. After approval, the listing can enter Play now and the charts. Eligibility is not guaranteed rank.

Exact field rules

The limits below match the current submission validation. Review imported repository text instead of assuming it is already a strong player pitch.

Repository
RuleRequired
What it meansA public GitHub repository that the signed-in account can push to. One Vibe listing is allowed per normalized repository.
Title
Rule1 to 120 characters
What it meansRequired after trimming. This becomes the stable player-facing listing title.
Description
Rule1 to 2,000 characters
What it meansRequired. Explain what the player does and why the game is worth opening.
Primary genre
RuleRequired
What it meansChoose the single catalog genre that best describes the main play loop.
Touch-friendly
RuleRequired yes or no
What it meansMark yes only when every core action works without a keyboard or mouse.
Model provenance
RuleRequired
What it meansRecord the current supported model or choose Other. This is secondary provenance, not the player pitch.
Live game URL
RuleOptional, maximum 8,192 characters
What it meansA credential-free absolute HTTP(S) URL. Vibe checks URL shape but does not host or automatically test the build.
How to play
RuleMaximum 500 characters
What it meansOptional for source-only listings and required with a live URL. State the controls and immediate goal.
Gameplay image
RuleMaximum 2,048 characters
What it meansOptional for source-only listings and required with a live URL. Use a same-repository GitHub file pinned to a full 40-character commit SHA.

Gameplay image format

Use a GitHub blob URL such as https://github.com/owner/repo/blob/FULL_COMMIT_SHA/path/image.png. Branches, tags, short SHAs, other repositories, arbitrary image hosts, credentials, query strings, and fragments are rejected.

Submit the listing

  1. 01Sign in with the GitHub account that can push to the repository.
  2. 02Paste the repository URL and fetch its name, description, and safe homepage. Review every imported field.
  3. 03Write the player pitch, choose genre and touch support, and record model provenance.
  4. 04Leave Live game URL blank for source-only, or add the build, controls, and commit-pinned gameplay image.
  5. 05Preview the card and open Test live build yourself. This test does not count as a player launch.
  6. 06Submit, then track Pending, Approved, or Not approved in Your games.

Moderation and outcomes

Every submission starts in review. A moderator checks the listing against the public repository and any live build. Approval is not automatic, and Vibe does not currently publish a review-time estimate or send review emails.

Pending
Visible to the owner only and excluded from search indexing and public discovery.
Approved
Public. Source-only listings enter All games; valid live builds can enter Play now and chart competition.
Not approved
The reason appears in Your games. Edit the same listing and resubmit it instead of creating a duplicate.

Updates and build health

Editing

The repository identity and stable game-page URL do not change. Any actual edit to an approved listing returns it to pending and removes it from discovery until approval.

Broken builds

Three current browser reports pause public Play actions while keeping the approved source page visible. Reports expire, can be cleared after checking, or reset when the live URL changes.

Questions, answered

Which repository formats are accepted?

Use owner/repository or a clean https://github.com/owner/repository URL. Query strings, fragments, credentials, and extra path segments are rejected. A trailing .git is normalized away.

Do I need a live build?

No. A source-only project can receive a public listing after approval. A live build is required for Play now and chart eligibility.

What happens after rejection?

The reason appears in Your games. Edit and resubmit the same repository-bound listing. Resubmission clears the old reason and returns it to pending.

Ready to list the game?

Sign in with the GitHub account that controls the public repository, then build the player-facing listing.
